Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Photo CleanUp ("we", "us", or "our") is the developer and data controller for the Photo CleanUp iOS and iPadOS application (the "App") and its website. This Privacy Policy explains how they handle information.
1. The short version
Photo CleanUp processes the photos you select, the masks you create, and the object-removal result on your device. We do not upload those photos or masks to our servers.
The App uses third-party services for advertising and App Store purchases. Those services may process limited device, advertising, transaction, and diagnostic information as described below.
2. Photos and edits
When you choose a photo, the App loads it through Apple's photo picker and processes it locally on your device. Your selected photo, selection mask, crop area, and edited result are not sent to our servers or to our advertising provider.
The App saves an edited photo to your photo library only when you choose Save. Sharing is performed through the iOS share sheet and is controlled by you. The destination you select may process the shared photo under its own privacy policy.
3. Information handled by the App
3.1 Local app information
The App stores settings and operational state on your device, such as language, editing preferences, feature access, advertising reward timers, review-prompt counters, and compatibility or recovery state for on-device processing. This information is used to operate the App and is not uploaded to our servers. It normally remains until you reset the relevant setting or delete the App.
3.2 Remote configuration
When an internet connection is available and advertising is enabled, the App may request a small configuration file from our infrastructure. The request includes the App's bundle identifier, App version, build number, request time, a random request nonce, and standard network information such as an IP address and user-agent string. It does not include your photos, masks, filenames, photo-library identifiers, contact information, or an account identifier.
We do not store remote-configuration requests in an application user database. Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, may process IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and secure the service, prevent abuse, and produce operational logs according to its terms and privacy policy.
3.3 Advertising
The free version of the App uses Google AdMob to load and display advertisements. Depending on your location, consent choices, device settings, and the ad served, Google Mobile Ads and participating advertising partners may process:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- device identifiers, including the advertising identifier when Apple permits access;
- advertising data, such as ads shown and interactions with ads;
- product-interaction data, such as app launches, taps, or video views;
- crash logs, performance information, and other diagnostic data.
This information may be used to deliver ads, measure advertising, analyze performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Google and participating advertising partners process this information under their own privacy policies and applicable consent choices.
We do not provide Google with your selected photos, masks, edited results, filenames, or photo-library identifiers.
Where required, the App presents Google's privacy choices before requesting ads. You can change available advertising privacy choices from the App's Settings screen. If the App asks for Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, access to the advertising identifier is allowed only if you grant permission. You can change tracking permission later in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
The App may show limited or non-personalized ads when personalized advertising is unavailable or not permitted. We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising disclosures may be considered "sharing" or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws; where applicable, use the in-app privacy choices and iOS tracking controls to manage those uses.

3.4 Purchases
Monthly Ad-Free and Lifetime Ad-Free purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment-card or bank details. The App receives limited StoreKit information needed to display products, verify an entitlement, restore a purchase, and determine whether ads and locked features should be disabled. Apple handles purchase and subscription information under Apple's privacy policy and App Store terms.
3.5 Support communications
The App does not require an account. If you email support, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include. We use it only to respond, troubleshoot, protect the App, or meet legal obligations. Please do not send an original private photo unless it is necessary and you deliberately choose to do so.
Support correspondence is deleted when it is no longer reasonably needed for the request, normally within 90 days after the request is resolved, unless a longer period is required for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
4. Permissions
Photo library additions: requested only when you choose to save an edited photo. The permission allows the App to add the result to your library.
Tracking: requested only if tracking-based advertising is enabled and Apple requires permission. Refusing tracking does not block the core editor.
5. Retention and deletion
- Photos, masks, and edit working data: processed on device and not retained on our servers.
- Local settings and counters: retained on the device until reset or until the App is deleted.
- Purchases: retained and managed by Apple according to Apple's policies; the App keeps only the local entitlement state needed to operate.
- Advertising and infrastructure data: retained by Google, its advertising partners, Cloudflare, or Apple according to their respective policies and your consent choices.
- Support email: normally deleted within 90 days after resolution, subject to the exceptions described above.
Because the App has no user accounts and we do not maintain a server database of users' photos or editing history, there is normally no account or cloud photo data for us to delete. Deleting the App removes its locally stored settings and working state. Deleting the App does not cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions can be managed in your Apple Account settings.
6. Sharing
We disclose information only as described in this Policy:
- to Google and participating advertising providers to deliver and measure ads, subject to consent and device settings;
- to Cloudflare to deliver and secure the remote-configuration endpoint;
- to Apple for App Store purchases, subscription management, system permissions, saving, and sharing;
- when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the App.
We require service providers and partners that process information for the App to provide protections consistent with applicable law and this Policy.
7. International processing
Google, Apple, Cloudflare, and their service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. They are responsible for using legally recognized safeguards where required by applicable law. See their privacy policies for details.
8. Children
Photo CleanUp is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support, contact us so we can delete it.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, or to withdraw consent. You can:
- manage tracking permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking;
- use the advertising privacy choices available in the App's Settings screen;
- manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings;
- delete local App data by deleting the App;
- contact us at the04vit@gmail.com about a privacy request.
We may need enough information to understand and verify a request. We cannot directly delete information controlled independently by Apple, Google, Cloudflare, or another service; requests concerning their data should be directed to the relevant provider.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited information handled by the App. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when the App, its services, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated Policy on this page and change the effective date. If a change materially affects your choices, we will provide additional notice where required.
